Print Queue

The eight queue statuses, the verifier, retries, and macOS batch printing.

Every label NotBot decides to print enters the print queue. The Recent Labels panel on the Dashboard shows the most recent entries with their current status. The full Print Queue view (filterable by status) is available from the in-app navigation.

Statuses

These are the statuses you'll see next to each label in Recent Labels or the Print Queue view.

Status What it means
Pending Waiting to be sent to the printer.
Printing Being sent to the printer right now.
Submitted Handed off to your operating system. Confirming it actually printed.
Verifying Following the job through your system's print queue.
Completed Printed.
Stuck Sat in your operating system's print queue for more than two minutes without finishing. Usually means the printer is offline, jammed, or out of paper. Tap to retry from Recent Labels.
Failed Tried three times and never succeeded. Tap to retry.
Skipped Not printed on purpose. Auto-print was off, Preview Mode was on, it came from a non-active tab, or it was a returning-buyer suppression in Buyer Only mode (or Every Item + Buyer mode with Print box label for new buyers on).

Filters

The Print Queue view filters by All, Pending, Printing (rolls up the in-flight statuses), Needs attention (Stuck only), Completed, and Failed.

When labels don't print at all

If a label landed at Skipped, it never went to the printer. The cases:

  • Auto-print was off.
  • Preview Mode was on (labels open as PDFs in your system viewer instead of printing).
  • The event came from a non-active tab.
  • A returning buyer in Buyer Only mode (no new label needed; the box already has theirs). Same in Every Item + Buyer mode when Print box label for new buyers is on.

The Skip giveaways and Skip Buy It Now purchases toggles do not produce skipped labels. They suppress the event before any label is queued. The event still appears in show history.
